S.O.S. For Dry, Dehydrated Skin
• Avoid long, hot showers; they actually draw moisture out of your skin and make you itchy. Instead, go for tepid, quick showers. Apply a heavy moisturizer regularly after bathing or showering while skin is still damp to seal in extra moisture.
• If you soak in a warm bath, use baby oil.
• Use a loofah sponge or a body microdermabrasion product regularly with warm water to boost circulation and remove dead skin cells.
• Use products containing humectants such as sodium hyalurante, glycolic acid, and glycerin to attract water to skin and hold onto moisture.
• Keep humidity in your home at about 50% or use a humidifier.
